Abstract We analyze the lattice dislocation trapping mechanism at ferrite/cementite interface of Isaichev orientation relationship by atomistic simulations combined with anisotropic linear elasticity theory and disregistry analysis. find that ability is varied initial position dislocation. The near attracted to image force generated shear, while located far either or repelled from interface, even oscillates around introduced position, depending on combination stress field induced misfit array
